Why You Should Consider Transforming Polymer Clay with Eyeshadow Wands

Those of you who have been purchasing cutters from me for some time might have noticed that I've been including mascara wands with every order. This has been my little way of saying thank you and to provide you with a tool that can help you clean your cutters. But I've recently introduced something new to my cutter packages: eyeshadow wands. You might wonder why I've added these. The reason is that I've discovered eyeshadow wands offer a different effect when applying mica powders compared to using a paintbrush.
With a paintbrush, the mica powder tends to cover the entire design, including settling into the crevices formed by embossed cutters. However, the eyeshadow wand allows for a more selective application, enabling you to dust the shimmering powder primarily on the raised surfaces, avoiding the lines and indentations made by the cutter. This results in a highlighted effect that emphasizes the texture and design of your clay pieces without filling the embossed details, creating a beautifully subtle and professional finish. Check out the video below to see the difference.
